Proof-of-Concept Film
Artifacts is a short fictional film that delves into the themes of loss, grief, and connection. This female-driven story not only explores the complexities of modern human communication but also touches on the profound impact of past relationships and lost loved ones. We aim to capture the essence of these emotions by illustrating the gradual impact of the Pixelated Vision, a dystopian visual condition inspired by emerging technologies. The protagonist’s fondness for photographic relics and her seemingly self-imposed isolation, amplify these feelings of loss and loneliness. Engaging in a voyeuristic pastime - taking pictures of the building across from hers every night - she creates a ritual that becomes her lifeline, providing a semblance of human connection.
